Fertility health check
The first step would be to book a consultation with one of our fertility specialists. They will perform a fertility screening to gain a better understanding of the fertility challenges you face. If you and your partner are suitable candidates for IVF, you will then proceed to the next step.
Ovarian Stimulation
Our doctors will prescribe hormone injections that you will need to administer daily on your own or with the assistance of your partner over a course of 7 to 14 days. Our fertility team will walk you through the process thoroughly and address any questions or concerns you may have about administering the medications. During this time, you will be given follow-up appointment(s) so we can monitor your progress and give you a suitable date for egg retrieval.
Egg retrieval procedure
Our fertility specialists will perform a minor procedure to retrieve your eggs while your partner provides a sample of his sperm.
Fertilisation
Monash IVF KPJ Johor’s embryologists will then combine the eggs and sperm in the lab. Fertilised eggs become embryos and they grow for 5 days until they reach the blastocyst stage.
Embryo transfer
At this stage, our embryologists will identify the healthy embryos which will then be transferred into your uterus.
Pregnancy test
After a two-week waiting period, we will have you do a blood test to determine whether you are pregnant.
